Don’t Depend on Draws

Don’t Depend on Draws There is a moment in every poker player’s life when he looks down at his cards and thinks: what if? What if he got the one poker card he needed to make a perfect hand? What if he managed to pull an improbable inside draw for a royal flush? What if he was able to get one card out of a possible 52 options without another player already holding the card? What if all the laws of probability and odds were suspended for a moment? The questions above may sound silly to the more logical among you. The simple fact is that it is not possible to suspend the rules of probability. If something is not going to happen, it will not happen for you even if you cross your fingers and hope real hard. Don’t depend on draws to win poker online pots. Relying on this kind of logic will mean that you will spend a lot of time hoping and not a lot of time winning. Get a little bit of perspective and focus on the way the game is really played. It may be less dramatic to play the solid hands instead of the wild inside draws, but slow, steady, and predictable play can add up to big bucks over time.
