Honest Guy: Meet Quality Dating

Published on June 9, 2009

Look, I’m not a mass-produced gullible man, comfortably accustomed to watching junk tv alone on a Friday night. It’s unlikely you guys have never read me ramble about great dating and companionship. There’s a reason for that.

Dependence is a fixable human characteristic and entirely absent from my playbook. But I do have a tender heart. Winter of 09 was an exception, I had no choice but to squelch a solid cohabitation that meant something to me but truly deadended for both of us. Therefore somone could say it may have been a few years since I was dating. I’m missing the great expectations in relationships I held years ago.

Living free and single isn’t bad. One thing is for sure, I don’t know how to spend another weekend undisturbed, binging on Battlestar Galactica episodes off the torrents. The real factor behind this case of incidental dating apathy? We’re not in high school, and most ladies I meet at work are taken.

My accomplished college buddy, Josh, who will never have dating loneliness, sympathized because he is now in the same boat. He showed me these Great Expectations Reviews. Of course, I take to chatting up sophisticated women who share my passions. Go figure, I put myself on a plan and I’m now a satisfied member.

The point is, ya can’t grovel by going dateless if ya haven’t stepped off the bench. Like our senior year baseball coach Paul Jennings often said between war stories, “If you don’t run you can’t score, shooter.”

The man didn’t know my name. Still, the man was right in a good old fashioned way. He always made us laugh. The amazing Dallas matchmaking service I joined might’ve blown coach’s brain.

At yesterday’s Great Expectations dating events I shared a great evening with some accomplished and desirable ladies that meet my expectations. I actually had a carefree night with dozens of pretty enjoyable men and women. I ducked out of the mixer a little early with a promising exchange of numbers, and even developed some social networking connections for work. Very cool.

Take action. You won’t win if you sit the bench. Take it from me, you might as well have great expectations for yourself.

Respectfully,

Larry D.
